About Goals

Goals began one spring day in 2021 as a promise to myself to stop wasting time on trivial pursuits.

The mission: to always know what I'm supposed to be doing.

Since the idea came to me in my advanced algorithms class while (re-)learning about topological sorting, I figured it would be best to represent my life as a directed acyclic graph in which vertices would represent objectives like getting a 4.0 semester GPA or publishing a research paper and edges would represent the relationship between these objectives, like what prerequisite objectives I needed to complete before publishing a paper at a certain conference.

Of course, I need to leave room for personal growth. I expect my goals and objectives to generally change as I life. However, that isn't an excuse to figure out what I need to do in the meantime to maximize my opportunities in the future.

Like literally everything else in my life, this is a work in progress. However, in terms of timeline, I don't expect this to be feature-complete until sometime in late 2021 (especially knowing how long it takes me to finish everything).

Also, kudos to you if you found this! The project isn't even public yet!
